Soniqs Recognized for Contributions to Collegiate Esports
This month Soniqs were nominated for the Partner Awards for NACE Awards 2024. Soniqs are recognized for supporting Harrisburg University’s collegiate esports program, HU Storm, throughout the year and during events like HU Invitational and PA Cup.
The National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) is a nonprofit membership association that provides the framework needed for collegiate varsity esport programs to compete in a sanctioned environment. Each year, NACE hosts the NACE Awards to recognize key contributors in collegiate esports. This includes awards like Director of the Year, Program of the Year, and Partner Awards.
NACE describes the Partner Award as an award that recognizes companies that actively support the collegiate esports community over the past year. These companies demonstrate a commitment to “promoting the industry, conducting marketing efforts, generating mainstream interest, and facilitating student growth.”
Since its inception, Soniqs has closely partnered with HU Storm to help elevate collegiate esports. Through major events like HU Invitational, the biggest collegiate esports invitational in the country, Soniqs assist with marketing, content, and tournament operations. Similarly, at PA Cup, Pennsylvania’s first high school esports tournament, Soniqs work alongside HU Storm to run the tournament from Soniqs’ LAN Center in downtown Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Through these efforts, Soniqs are honored to be recognized for its contributions to the collegiate esports space.
“We do this because we believe in the value collegiate esports brings,” said Darren Moore, Soniqs CEO. “Working with HU Storm we’re developing the leaders of tomorrow and getting recognized by NACE for this is just a cherry on top.”
After nominations, partner schools have until July 12th to vote for winners. Later this year, awards will be announced at the NACE Convention at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.
