PGS3: A Fight for the Crown
The PUBG Global Series 3 (PGS3) has concluded, and the champions have been crowned.
The tournament began with a strong showing from Soniqs, who hit the ground running in the first round of games in the Group Stage. From the start, the team was focused on the trophy, and consistently garnered high kills or high placements in most games.
The competition was fierce, with 24 of the best teams in the world hungry for the number one spot. Teams such as Twisted Minds, CERBERUS Esports, NewHappy, and TSM all showed up to perform. But so did Soniqs.
The Group Stage was a battleground, with each team bringing their A-game. But only 16 of the 24 teams moved on to the Grand Finals. Soniqs were determined to be among those top-16 and managed to secure a top-4 finish in the Group Stage, locking in its spot in the Grand Finals.
The Grand Finals of PUBG Global Series 3 promised a showdown between the top teams from around the globe. Now, 16 of the original 24 teams remained, having proven themselves worthy to compete for the crown.
Day 1 of the Grand Finals proved challenging, with Twisted Minds, Natus Vincere, and NewHappy consistently securing top-3 finishes in the individual rounds throughout the day. Despite the competition, Soniqs performed well overall and secured a 3rd place spot in the overall standings by the end of Day 1.
Moving into day 2, Soniqs climbed up to 2nd place, only 7 points behind the No. 1 spot held by Twisted Minds.
Day 3, the final day of the Grand Finals and the apex of PGS3, saw the top 3 positions of the leaderboard fiercely contested by Soniqs, CERBERUS, and Twisted Minds. Each team leapfrogged each other throughout the third day until the final round, where one team emerged on top. CERBERUS Esports claimed the No. 1 spot and the crown of PGS3.
Soniqs, 21 points off first place, secured 2nd in the tournament. With a lightning-hot performance during PGS3, Soniqs will make the final adjustments they need before fighting for another championship at PGS4 next week.
